October Calendar

Hello hello!!! For this month, the team at C&C have put together an events calendar for upcoming Camden/King's Cross excitement. We've got a mix of social, educational, sports, and business events-- a little bit of something for everyone.

October 2 - First and Quirky Kings Cross and St Pancras Tour

This two hour walking tour explores some of the hidden gems of Kings Cross, as well as discusses the recent gentrification of the area, as well as the neighborhood's long history

October 3 - OurBike launches at BOTH Cleaners & Coffee shops!!!

OurBike is a bike-share app that provides access to rentable electric cargo bikes, these are super handy and we can't wait to roll them out for you all! We're super excited about this one, but make sure you wear a helmet!

October 4 - Mindful Movement and Sound Bath @ Ceci Studio

We LOVE the instructors at Ceci and can't encourage paying them a visit enough!

October 5 & 12 - NFL London Screening @ BOXPARK Camden

If you're an American Football fan, this is the place to find your people, unless you're lucky enough to actually have tickets to one of the games at Wembley.

October 7 - RnB Orchestra @ Jazz Cafe

Snag tickets to this to see a live orchestra play some of the greatest RnB hits of the 90s and 2000s

October 8 - Jane Austen Book Club @ Hatchards St.Pancras

Have you read Pride and Prejudice? Do you have a lot to say about it? (Who doesn't lol) Pop in to Hatchards in St.Pancras to discuss the life and writing of Jane Austen

October 9 - Women and Medicine London Walking Tour

Starting at the Euston Tap, this walking tour explores the history of women in medicine, stopping along some of London's most fascinating medical sites

October 11 - Camden's Lost Cinemas Walking Tour

History and film buffs alike will love this guided tour of Camden, exploring the area's past and present cinemas

October 14 - Palestinian Folklore Workshop: The Dabke @ P21 Gallery

Join the Fursaan Dabke troupe at the P21 Gallery to explore the rich cultural heritage behind the iconic dance, as well as pick up a few steps along the way!

October 17 - British Library workshop: Get Published

Join this three hour workshop in the BL Business and IP Centre to learn the fundamentals of becoming a published writer, including a focus on successfully self-publishing

October 18 - Pretty Weird! Exploring "Pretty Privilege" in Nature Conservation

Check out this creative research workshop at the Camley Street Nature Park, where you'll get into the nitty gritty of how our own aesthetic biases impact our nature conservation efforts

October 21 - King's Cross Questerland Scavenger Hunt

Okay, so I may have fudged the specifics on this one, because you can technically do it anytime. This is a really cool scavenger hunt organized around King's Cross that you complete via an app, it's a great way to familiarize yourself with the area

October 22 - UAL Career and Employability Fair @ Central Saint Martins

This one's perfect for any UAL students looking for better ways to justify their degrees to skeptical or sardonic friends and family, but also a great way for anyone interested in pursuing the arts to learn a bit more about breaking into the industry

October 26 - Camden Vintage Furniture Flea @ Cecil Sharpe House

These things are legendary, if you're on the hunt for some fabulous mid-century modern pieces, antique ceramics, art, and much more, this is the place to be.

October 27 - Fashion Networking @ Drake & Morgan King's Cross

Pop in to this evening event to network and socialize with other young people getting started in the fashion industry, just make sure to plan your outfit in advance...

October 28 - Silent Supper of the Witches @ Lost Souls Pizza

Anyone who's talked to us in the shop knows we love this place, it's the best pizza in Camden. Stop by to partake in ceremony, memory sharing, chant, and song, capped off by a pizza dinner eaten strictly in silence. Hurry though, this event's almost full!

And last, but certainly not least...

OCTOBER 31 : CLEANERS & COFFEE HALLOWEEN PARTY

Join us for the EVENT OF THE YEAR! Has explicitly told me I can't tell people they have to dress up, but come on you guys it's Halloween, you should. I'm not saying you've gotta design a full blown costume, but all of the baristas are gonna be dressed up. Stay tuned closer to the event for more info, but block your night out now, because this one's gonna be SO FUN!!!!
