Welcome to September! We've got some awesome events around the area this month, all details linked below :)


  • A steady and well-rounded vinyasa flow class designed to help you build strength, mobility, and confidence in your practice. Expect variety, progression, and encouragement. £10 first class



  • Join us for a relaxed weekly social run through some of North London’s best routes, including Regent’s Canal, Camden and Primrose Hill.

  • Whether you’re an experienced runner or simply looking to get moving, meet new people and enjoy some fresh air, this run is designed to be welcoming and inclusive.

  • What to expect

    • Relaxed, conversational pace

    • Approximately 6km route

    • Suitable for all abilities

    • Friendly and supportive atmosphere

    • Opportunity to meet local people and build consistency with your running

  • This isn’t a race and there are no pace targets. The focus is on movement, community and enjoying the run together.

  • We’ll meet at Granary Square before setting off as a group and will stop briefly at Primrose Hill to take in the views before heading back.



  • Friday Feet is ideal for beginners and new-comers to international dance. The dances come from a variety of countries, mostly, but not exclusively, European. They are all traditional, social dances with a rich cultural history. They prove how many different ways there are to have fun with dance.

  • Each session is tailored according to who is there. All the dances are taught - in more detail for beginners.

  • Many of the dances do not require partners, but some do. You don't need to bring a partner, you can come alone and get partnered up in the class.

  • No need to book, just turn up on the night.

  • £10 / £7 concessions

5 Sept/19 Sept - Beginner Heels Dance Workshop (18+)

  • Welcome to the Heels Dance Class! Get ready to strut your stuff and unleash your inner diva on the dance floor. Join us at Academy Mews Studios for a fun and empowering dance class where you'll learn sassy choreography and killer moves in your favourite heels. No experience necessary - just bring your confidence and get ready to slay!

  • Our adults' Book Club meets on the first Monday of the month.

  • For our September meet-up, we are reading: The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood. Copies are available to borrow at the library desk. Join us to chat about the book, and to choose the next one.

  • Pick up again your reading habits for the National Year of Reading 2026. Widen your choices with recommendations from fellow readers.



  • For beginner and expert bird spotters alike, this is for anyone who wishes to connect with the nature living right in the heart of the city.

  • Starting in busy Camden, we'll move east along the Regent's Canal towpath to St.Pancras, before crossing the water for a visit to Camley Street Natural Park, where the walk will end.

  • These are casual walks, open to all adults wanting to learn, share and enjoy our wildlife. Our Walk Leader can introduce the species and habitats, those bringing knowledge with them are welcome to share!

  • The canal is usually alive with our common water birds such as coot, moorhen, geese and cormorant. The Natural Park is known to host blackcap, dunnock, kingfisher and sparrowhawk!

  • It's helpful if you can bring your own binoculars, but we can provide pocket binos to anyone without any. Otherwise just wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather.

  • There are public toilets, cafes and shops near the start point and end location.

  • Meet on the ramp down from Camden High Street to the Regent's Canal towpath



  • Taking place at Calthorpe Community Garden & Community Centre, the day will feature live folk music, storytelling, Morris dancing, creative workshops, sustainable food activities, gardening, community art, local organisations, and a shared evening fire circle. Whether you come for an hour or stay all day, there will be plenty of opportunities to meet neighbours, learn new skills and enjoy a welcoming atmosphere.

  • This event is about celebrating the people who make our community special. If you'd like, you're invited to bring a photograph, memory, family recipe, keepsake, poem or song to help create a living community archive. Participation is entirely optional—simply coming along is enough.

  • Join us in King's Cross to meet organisations that are recruiting volunteers for volunteering roles in Camden and Islington. There will be a wide variety of roles to choose from and all of this takes place during lunchtime.



  • This session you will design and make your very own handmade badges.

  • These hands on workshops will provide you with all the tools to:

    • Make your own badges.

    • Share stories and experiences.

    • Build connections and make new friends.

  • All ages welcome and we encourage LGBTQ+ youth aged 16-28 to attend.

  • All sessions are free to attend.

12 Sept - The Big Woof

  • A celebration of all things dog. Join us for shopping and a range of fun activities to enjoy with your dog.

  • Enjoy a fun packed day at London's largest dog show. With competitions and demonstrations, art classes and live sketching, photography pop-ups, have-a-go agility, live music performances, celebrities from the dog world and much more. If you don't have a dog, we have plenty for you to meet and cuddle.

  • Join us at SPCA for our community summer festival, celebrating our 10 year anniversary at 67 Plender Street!

  • Fresh from our recent renovations, we are so excited to welcome community members who have participated in our programming throughout the last decade to join us to reflect and celebrate the past 10 years.

  • Expect community stalls, family activities, food, entertainment, and more.



  • Formed in 2002, Belsize Baroque is one of the leading amateur baroque orchestras. It comprises young professionals, students, and top amateur baroque players from London and elsewhere. The orchestra performs on period instruments in an historically informed style. It collaborates regularly with leading baroque directors to give orchestral performances, and works on baroque and classical repertoire with choral groups.

  • The orchestra showcases the abilities of talented college students and young professional musicians, providing these players with the opportunity to perform with top directors and an experienced baroque orchestra



  • Come to the CSM Library for a relaxed making and mending session; sewing, crochet, and papercraft materials provided.

  • As creators and artists, we can often be tied into a project or concept we feel we need to pursue with our whole being. This casual making session aims to pull attendees away from that, given a set of specific material to make and mend with away from preset ambition or outcome.

  • We will be supplying hand sewing materials, fabric swatches and samples, a range of paper and magazines to cut and collage with.



  • Join us for St Michael's Lunchtime Recitals, a vibrant series of free 30-minute concerts showcasing exceptional musicians in the beautiful surroundings of St Michael's Church, Highgate. Enjoy performances by professional musicians, outstanding students from leading conservatoires, and emerging artists, presenting an inspiring programme of classical music in an intimate and welcoming setting. Recitals begin promptly at 1:30pm, with doors opening at 1:10pm. Admission is free and everyone is warmly welcome. A retiring collection will be taken at the end of each recital to support the musicians, and your generosity is greatly appreciated. Come and discover outstanding live music at the heart of our community.



  • A meal, a talk by Tim Blackburn and then a chance to see how moth traps are set up.

  • Moths are jewels of our natural heritage. They’re as beautiful as butterflies and as industrious as bees, yet lots of people I talk to seem to have an instinctive dislike of these insects. I will introduce you to the wonderful diversity of moths, which can be found even in the dark heart of the inner city. I will show how they can inform about how the natural world works, and explain why they are such important links in the web of life that includes you and me. Hopefully, by the end of the talk, you will have a little more appreciation of this amazing group of insects.

  • Professor Tim Blackburn is a scientist with thirty years of experience studying questions about the distribution, abundance and diversity of species in ecological communities. He is currently Professor of Invasion Biology at University College London, where his research focuses on alien species, and his teaching mainly involves leading field courses. Before that he was the Director of the Institute of Zoology, the research arm of the Zoological Society of London. Tim regularly reports the findings in his moth trap in Camden on his Bluesky feed: @MothyBlackburn.bsky.social



  • Join us at CSM library for a drop-in session where you can make your own badges and zines!

  • Let’s get creative and design badges and zines from found images or by creating our own. Materials will be provided at this drop-in session, just bring yourself!



  • This workshop is directly inspired by the method Johanna employs in her series of collaborative installations, ‘Penser, Manger, Partager’ (‘To Think, To Eat’ To Share’, 2015 – Present). Johanna will also share her experience growing and foraging plants responsibly.

  • It is an entry-level adult-only workshop, and no prior experience is required. The method can be repeated at home, with no additional material purchased other than what is found on most kitchen shelves.

  • All materials and a tea break will be provided.



26 Sept - Camden Inspire

  • Camden Inspire is a free annual community climate festival. This year, the theme is 'Gathering For Our Future' and we're bringing local residents together to imagine, discuss and build bold ideas and solutions in the face of the climate crisis. We'll be celebrating the amazing ideas and activities already taking place on our doorstep, having thoughtful conversations, and getting hands on to learn about and create our own climate solutions like a community shade structure to protect from extreme heat.



  • In this session, we will work with the plants around us to practice botanical illustration. The session will touch on techniques to accurately capture plants for scientific illustrations, as well as allow you to work freely to create drawings and designs inspired by the scenery, rather than just working to replicate it. We will explore plant properties and symbolism, working with the plants around us. You will have time to wander the gardens and find inspiration from your surrounding, sketching what captures your imagination.

  • This session will be untutored by life model and occult enthusiast, Rebecca Collins-Thompson. While it is a facilitated session with exercises and prompts, it is untutored by design, allowing your practice to be self-led and focusing on unlearning expectations around how you should approach your art to find pure creative expression.

  • Foraged tea from the garden will be provided alongside a light feast to be enjoyed in the break. In the spirit of communing, if you would like to bring a contribution to share with the group, such as fruit or a small dish, it would be very welcome.

  • Basic drawing materials (paper and graphite pencils), will be provided. Please feel free to bring a sketchbook if you prefer, and any more exciting materials you'd like to experiment with. This event will be going ahead whatever the weather, to connect with the earth in its natural state. If it looks like it will rain we will explore different materials such as wax crayons that work better in the wet weather, and use nature as our co-creator, for example playing with ink splatter and rain bleed. There is also a covered area in Edible Landscapes London where we can work with some protection. Make sure you are dressed for spending three hours outdoors.

  • Explore the world and possibilities of zines with an afternoon of collective learning and hands-on making.

  • Join artist and Poetic Pastel Press founder Johanna Tagada Hoffbeck for an immersive afternoon dedicated to zine culture and creative exploration.

  • This workshop will begin with a 45-minute illustrated talk and Q&A introducing the multiple reasons for and possibilities of zines as artistic, creative, poetic, and activist forms and as an accessible yet far reaching publishing practice. In the second part of the session, participants will create their own zine.



  • Join us for the British Library's American Writers’ Week (28 September – 2 November), presented in association with Festival America, Vincennes, France. 

  • Participating writers include Alison Bechdel, Armistead Maupin, Daniel Kraus, Jeanine Cummins, Joyce Carol Oates, Katie Kitamura, Rabih Alameddine and Viet Thanh Nguyen.
